Through the years, more emphasis has been placed on human activity and how it has negatively affected the earth. In 2015, the UN introduced its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) where countries pledge to better the world by 2030, including the 11th goal of Sustainable Cities and Communities. This is the goal hococo strives to address through more inclusive and sustainable urbanisations. As more and more are moving to the cities, these urban areas account for a lot of the world’s carbon emissions and energy consumption, which is why sustainability is key: The more sustainable, the brighter the future.
